How to Make Money: The Fundamentals of Stock Investing (Grade 7-12)

The students will learn from an experienced AP Economics teacher the way to choose stocks and the fundamentals of investing. The specific vocabulary and techniques necessary to jump into the field early will provide a solid foundation for future careers in the field. The students will learn how to analyze the fundamentals of a company and how to do valuation. We will look at different industries, such as health care, telecom, consumer goods, energy and utilities, to broaden their vision and expertise. It will be a fun, interactive course that takes us virtually out of the classroom and into the trading floor of the stock exchange and the decision-making arenas of the Fortune 500 companies.

We will be playing the stock market game with prizes at the end for the winners.
