McDonogh Equestrian Summer Program

Over the summer months, McDonogh offers full- and half-day equestrian programs. Our 2026 dates and offerings are now available below.

Full-Day Equestrian Program (Ages 6–12)

  • Ages: For children and preteens ages 6 to 12 (coed).
  • Days and Times: Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuition and Dates:
    Week 1: $855 – June 1 to June 5 (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 2: $855 – June 8 to June 12 (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 3: $684 – June 15 to June 18 (4-Day Week) (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 4: $895 – June 22 to June 26 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 5: $895 – July 6 to July 10 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 6: $895 – July 13 to July 17 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 7: $895 – July 20 to July 24 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 8: $895 – July 27 to July 31 (Bus and Lunch Included)
  • Optional Weekly Transportation Fee: $50 per camper on weeks when transportation is available.

Programming Overview
This program will provide extensive hands-on time with the horses as well as professional instruction five days a week. Grouped by experience level, this camp includes grooming, horse physiology, tack education, equestrian crafts, games, yoga, and more. Riders will get to explore the beautiful trails and Roots Farm—maybe even a ride down to the stream!

Half-Day Equestrian Pony Program (Ages 4–5)

  • Ages: For children ages 4 to 5 (coed).
  • Days and Times: Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Tuition and Dates:
    Week 1: $475 – June 1 to June 5 (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 2: $475 – June 8 to June 12 (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 3: $380 – June 15 to June 18 (4-Day Week) (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 4: $495 – June 22 to June 26 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 5: $495 – July 6 to July 10 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 6: $495 – July 13 to July 17 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 7: $495 – July 20 to July 24 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 8: $495 – July 27 to July 31 (Bus and Lunch Included)
  • Weekly Transportation Fee (Optional): $50 per camper on weeks when transportation is available.

Programming Overview
This program is for our littlest riders with pony passion. Campers enjoy hands-on time with the ponies as well as receive quality instruction five days a week. This camp includes grooming, horse physiology, tack education, equestrian crafts, games, pony keepsakes, pony pizzas, and more surprises! Riders will get to explore the beautiful trails and Roots Farm—maybe even a ride down to the stream!

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Equestrian Pony Program (Rising 7th, 8th, and 9th Graders)

  • Ages: For rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders (coed).
  • Days and Times: Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuition and Dates:
    Week 1: $855 – June 1 to June 5 (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 2: $855 – June 8 to June 12 (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 3: $684 – June 15 to June 18 (4-Day Week) (Bus and Lunch NOT Included)
    Week 4: $895 – June 22 to June 26 (Bus and Lunch Included)
    Week 5: $895 – July 6 to July 10 (Bus and Lunch Included)

  • Additional Notes: Only a maximum of four CITs will train per session.

Programming Overview
This program will allow extensive hands-on time with the horses as well as quality instruction five days a week. Each rider will be a counselor-in-training (CIT) and will be expected to help with the care of the animals. They will also help with the younger campers. Grouped by experience, the CITs will partake in professional instruction, including grooming, horse physiology, tack education, and more.
