Fun, friendship, adventure, and discovery await children of all ages on our beautiful 800-acre campus! McDonogh Summer Camps offers over 80 camps, including traditional day camps, sports clinics, arts and educational programs, and overnight camps.
For over 80 years, McDonogh has been offering quality summer camps, complete with stables and indoor/outdoor riding rings, three fully equipped playground areas, 20 tennis courts, two fishing ponds, and extensive outdoor athletic fields. Our outdoor adventure complex includes a state-of-the-art rock-climbing tower and a high and low ropes course with a team building development component. Indoor facilities include a 54,000-square-foot field house with seven basketball courts, an aquatic center that includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, two indoor batting ranges, a wellness center, and a wrestling room. Our fine arts center boasts an elegant 588-seat theatre with modern stage, lighting, and sound; a black box theatre; music room; and set design room. The McDonogh campus also includes multiple computer labs, art rooms, classrooms, and dormitory space. The Edward St. John Student Center features two dining halls as well as a lecture hall with stage, fine arts and dance facilities, the infirmary, offices, and meeting rooms.
The staff of McDonogh Summer Camps is comprised of experienced and caring personnel dedicated to offering opportunities for our campers to achieve their highest potential. We are committed to quality and professionalism in everything we do. Our camps are conducted on the safe and serene grounds of the McDonogh School, with around-the-clock security.
A Before and After Care Program is available for an additional fee for all full-day camper. The cost for Before Care is $50/week and for After Care the cost is $75/week. Children may be dropped off in the Before Care Program between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. and picked up from the After Care Program any time between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Participants will engage in a variety of activities including games, sports, crafts, and outdoor programs.
McDonogh’s well-maintained bus fleet will provide transportation to and from community stops in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, and Howard Counties. There is no extra charge for transportation for full-day campers. Transportation applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis due to the limited number of seats on each bus.
All full-day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on-campus day campers receive lunch at no extra charge. The nutritious meals are carefully planned and prepared by our experienced food service staff. Register for McDonogh Summer Camps online using our digital forms beginning November 6, 2018. To begin the registration process, please read the steps listed below to ensure an easy registration process.
REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR ALL OF OUR CAMPS THROUGH THE LAST DAY OF CAMP!
A $300 deposit is due with each camper's registration. If the program tuition is less the $300 then payment is due at time of registration. Camp balances are due by May 1, 2019 with no exception. If you have to cancel a camp for ANY reason before June 1, 2019 you will receive a refund of payment, less a $300 administrative fee per child. There are no refunds for any reason after May 31, 2019 for absences including, but not limited to illness, family vacations, sports schedules, or changes in campers personal schedule. Additionally, no refunds will be offered if camp is closed due to "Acts of God" such as a tornado, power outage, etc. or for any reason that would prohibit the camp from operating safely. If you switch to a different program within the McDonogh Summer Camps, there will be a $100 administrative fee per camper. All camps are subject to a minimum enrollment requirement. McDonogh Summer Camps is not responsible for any theft or lost items left unattended. Transportation is available on a first come, first served basis. McDonogh Summer Camps will be closed on Thursday, July 4.
