Middle School Academy
The Middle School Academy is a two-week immersive and experiential program, separate from our regular curriculum, that offers middle schoolers the opportunity to take a deep dive into two of 24 unique courses in the humanities, science and mathematics, and the arts. Similar to a midsemester or January term, Academy allows teachers and students to more fully embrace McDonogh’s LifeReady commitment.
Students are challenged to problem-solve, collaborate, and design during these integrated courses; all courses include students from multiple grade levels. At the end of the program, students present the results of their learning and growth by participating in an Academy Showcase.
