McDonogh's Learning Services program enables students with diverse learning needs to fully participate in and benefit from McDonogh's mission. Through evidence-based interventions and holistic support delivered in partnership with faculty and families, we empower learners to achieve their academic potential while developing the confidence and self-advocacy skills essential for long-term success.
In addition to our Learning Services Team, advisors and teachers are committed to giving each student personalized attention and support with coursework and learning strategies. In some cases, additional tutoring from an independent tutor may be recommended to further enhance academic progress.
By fostering a supportive learning community, McDonogh's Learning Services Team and faculty empower students to take charge of their education and thrive both academically and personally.

Students with diagnosed learning differences confirmed by documentation are eligible for accommodations at McDonogh. Student Learning Plans (SLPs) are crafted on a case-by-case basis and take into account individual requirements and demonstrated functional limitations that impact learning. Our committed team of learning specialists, literacy specialists, and math specialists collaborates closely with students, teachers, and families to address various learning needs, including supporting students with skill gaps, mild language- or math-based learning differences; ADHD; and executive functioning weaknesses.
Throughout the McDonogh experience, learning services are designed to support students in their current developmental stage with interventions aimed at building confidence and independence in learning.
