The Eighth Grade Leadership Group provides students with a myriad of opportunities to serve and support McDonogh and our neighboring communities. Students learn how to identify worthwhile causes and initiatives and how to reach decisions by consensus. They learn how to make proposals, set and revise their goals, create plans, delegate assignments, and manage setbacks. Students are in charge of the success of every project or event they undertake. The Eighth Grade Leadership Group has recently worked at a soup kitchen, assisted with Lower School students, planned dances and social events, organized Spirit Week, served as morning meeting emcees, written for the Middle School newspaper, held bake sales, and more.
