Author Jason Reynolds Speaks to Middle Schoolers
As part of the Middle School librarians’ commitment to celebrate and connect students with authors that excite them, New York Times bestselling author Jason Reynolds visited with seventh and eighth graders on Friday, January 20. After sharing his journey to becoming a writer and his role as National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, he answered students' questions and signed their copies of his books. Reynold’s many books include Look Both Ways; Miles Morales: Spider-Man; the Track series (Ghost, Patina, Sunny, and Lu), Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You; and Long Way Down, which received a Newberry Medal, a Printz Award, and a Coretta Scott King Award.
