McDonogh Players Perform Before a Live Audience

With an exuberant cast and a socially distanced audience of friends and family, the Horn Theatre was alive in a way it hasn’t been for over a year as the Middle School McDonogh Players put on a live production of Mystery at Shady Acres on Friday, May 21.

Director Suzanne Eldridge noted in the program:

“In a year unlike any other, the actors in this production displayed an unbelievable amount of maturity, flexibility and resilience. Despite the Zoom rehearsals, social distancing, extreme blocking on stage, masks, microphone packs that chime “speaker mode,” and assigned seats in the Horn Theatre, this group of incredible individuals created a beautiful community where connections and relationships have been formed. We hope you enjoy their performance and ignore the occasional 'speaker mode' announcements as they turn their microphone packs on and off.

Special thanks to our rehearsal volunteers, theatre staff, administration, housekeeping and maintenance crew for providing the outstanding support needed for this show to go on!”
