Ten Inducted into Athletic Hall of Fame

Ten McDonogh alumni were inducted into the School's Athletic Hall of Fame at a ceremony attended by teammates, coaches, family, and friends on Wednesday, March 4.

The 2026 inductees were chosen not only for their outstanding athletic records during their time as Eagles, but also for embodying the ideal values of a McDonogh athlete: dedication, perseverance, positivity, leadership, and teamwork. "Those values are timeless," said Athletic Director Jeff Parsons in his welcome remarks. "They transcend any single season, any single sport, any single generation. They're what connect every person who has ever worn an Eagle uniform — past, present, and future."

Before introducing the honorees and presenting them with a framed varsity letter, Parsons acknowledged the role of female athletes on the occasion of the School's 50th anniversary of coeducation, saying, "Their achievements stand as a testament to what happens when you create opportunity, cultivate talent, and celebrate excellence without limitation. This milestone is worth celebrating, and tonight's ceremony is a beautiful reflection of that progress."

After receiving their honor, each inductee was invited to speak. They remarked on how McDonogh shaped who they became — not just as athletes, but as people and spoke about their coaches who believed in them, their teammates who pushed them, and moments of adversity that taught resilience.
