How do I join the yearbook staff?

Speak with your freshman English teacher about getting a recommendation. Once recommended, you will have an interview with Legacy Advisor Maria Johnson. See the last few pages of the Course Description Guide for more information. If you would like to be a contributing photographer without enrolling in the class, please join the yearbook club and/or see Maria Johnson.

How do I get my event covered in the yearbook?

Contact any yearbook editor or Legacy Advisor Maria Johnson. Please provide the date, time, location and description of the event.

When will I get my yearbook?

Each year, returning students receive their Legacy in September, except the most recent graduating class. Our newest class of alumni receive their books in the mail in mid-August; if you have moved or plan to move, please provide your new address to the Legacy Advisor.

Who receives a yearbook?

Each McDonogh family will receive one copy of the 2020 yearbook at no cost. Additional copies may be purchased for $30.

How do I create a senior ad or business ad?

To place your ad please visit Jostens Ad Service at www.jostensAdService.com between September 1, 2018, and February 1, 2019. You will select your size, layout, and color, enter your text, upload your images, and pay for your ad. Prices vary by size, color and submission date.

How do I submit my senior portrait?

Senior portraits are a current photo that the senior has selected for the yearbook. Portraits do not need to be taken by a professional photographer/studio; any high-resolution digital portrait is acceptable. Portraits can be black/white or color, although color is recommended. Portraits may also be any size and may be cropped by the yearbook staff to fit the allotted space. 

Submit Senior Portraits by December 1, 2018, to Senior Section Editor Hannah Goad Persaud '19 (legacy@mcdonogh.org).

 

How do I submit my senior write-up?

See Senior Write-Up Guidelines for information. Final write-ups should be sent to Senior Section Editor Hannah Goad Persaud '19 (legacy@mcdonogh.org) by January 1, 2019.

How do I submit photos to the yearbook?

Email photos to specific Legacy staff or legacy@mcdonogh.org.
