Lower School

Bright and inviting, the Lower School Leah Watts Dawson Library is alive each day with activity, learning, and laughter. All grade levels have regularly-scheduled weekly class time. In addition, the library is available for book exchange at any time.

Library instruction is interdisciplinary to align with the Lower School curriculum, creating a foundation of literacy that extends beyond the elementary years. Librarians teach students to identify and evaluate information and to develop critical awareness and life-ready, problem-solving skills.

Students find joy in the Lower School library by choosing books, listening to stories, exploring topics in great depth, and discovering new interests.
