Roots Pasta Sauce Sales Support the Maryland Food Bank

Farmer Sharon Hood and Chef Mallory Staley recently presented a $351 check to the Maryland Food Bank. Why $351? For every jar of Roots pasta sauce sold, $1 is donated, making each purchase a small but meaningful way to help provide fresh, nutritious food to those who need it most. The recent check reflects sales during the last quarter. That’s a lot of sauce doing good!

This contribution is just one part of Roots Farm’s ongoing partnership with the Maryland Food Bank. Each year, the bulk of produce harvested by our students and community volunteers is donated to the Food Bank’s Farm to Food Bank program.
