Empty Bowls Benefits Baltimore Hunger Project

Each year, the Greatest Good McDonogh Empty Bowls luncheon offers a simple meal with a powerful purpose. Held on Sunday, May 5, the event brought together Middle and Upper School students, faculty, families, and friends in support of the Baltimore Hunger Project, a nonprofit working to end childhood hunger.

Guests selected handmade ceramic bowls crafted by Middle School ceramics students and enjoyed soup, focaccia, and cookies prepared by Upper Schoolers in the A-Level Food Studies English class. More than $1,500 in proceeds were donated to the Baltimore Hunger Project. With live music, a silent auction, and a strong sense of community, the event was both joyful and deeply meaningful.
