Anyone who caught the McDonogh Theatre Lab’s performances of The Addams Family in October 2017 would agree that it was filled with stellar performances from start to finish. On May 1, it was announced that the musical comedy received nine nominations for the 2018 Baltimore Theatre Awards (BTA). The Baltimore Theatre Awards program, "which celebrates excellence in high school theatre," is available to all Baltimore City and County public and private schools.

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of The Addams Family and to the following nominees:

• Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Musical: Daniel K. ’20 as Gomez
• Best Performance by a Lead Actress in a Musical: Hanna H. ’18 as Morticia
• Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Musical: Jack A. ‘18 as Uncle Fester and Kevin K. ’18 as Lucas
• Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Musical: Riley C. ’18 as Wednesday
• Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical: Cormac C. ’18 as Lurch
• Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical: Haylie L. ’19 as Grandma
• Best Ensemble in a Musical: The Ancestors
• Best Musical: The Addams Family

As a nominee for Best Musical, McDonogh has been invited to perform a number from The Addams Family at the award ceremony on Sunday, May 13 at The Jemicy School. Tickets for the show are $10 and may be purchased at www.showtix4u.com.
