Water Polo Defends Crown
Congratulations to the Varsity Water Polo team for sinking the Loyola Dons
in the
MIAA championship game, on Saturday, October 28, with a score of 10-9. After
defeating Gilman in the semifinals on Friday, the Eagles
faced Loyola for the second year in a row. An enthusiastic crowd of loyal
McDonogh fans in the stands kept the players energized until the end.
Co-Athletic Director Mickey Deegan reports, “It was a nail-biter. Down by
two
goals in the final minutes, the guys said to each other, ‘not in our house.’ The
Eagles stormed back and held on to the championship crown."
