Bay Trip Wonders
Eighth graders experienced the wonders of the Chesapeake Bay on the annual trip with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to Fox Island, Port Isobel, and the Karen Noonan Environmental Education Center. The signature Middle School event teaches students about the ecology and economics of the Chesapeake and provides opportunities for them to learn, work, and play together as a team. Over the three days on the bay in mid-October, eighth graders stepped out of their comfort zones and fished, crabbed, raced through a mud maze, took a moonless night hike, prepared meals, and cleaned up after each other.
