More Championship Excitement This Week
Just because it feels like spring, doesn’t mean winter sports are over. The
boys
basketball team is in the hunt for the MIAA “A” Conference title.
On Tuesday, February 21, the Eagles eliminated Glenelg Country School in
the
quarterfinal game with a score of 70-49. According to Co-Athletic Director
Mickey Deegan, “The guys made at least nine downtown 3's, several dunks, and
played with heart, hustle, and unselfishness in front of a raucous crowd of
fans!”
McDonogh will travel to Mount St. Joseph on Thursday, February 23, for the
semifinal game. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. and admission is $5 for adults and $3 for
students. The “A” Conference Championship game is Sunday, February 26, at
5:30 p.m. at Harford Community College.
