Middle School Play Reimagines Classic Fairy Tales

You may think you know your fairy tales and fables, but not the way the Dad in the play “Bedtime Stories (As Told by Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up)” tells them! Eighth graders in Suzi Eldridge's Onstage class had parents, teachers, and second graders in stitches at the December 7 performance of the story about three rambunctious kids at bedtime whose dad is fuzzy on the details of the classic tales. In his telling, a prince with a snoring problem spices up The Princess and The Pea, The Boy Who Cried Wolf cries dinosaur instead, and Rumpelstiltskin helps turn all that pesky gold into straw.
