Spirited Celebration of Greenebaum Middle School

McDonogh Middle School spirit reached new highs on the morning of Spirit Day, Friday, November 5, as students, faculty, trustees, donors, and friends celebrated the official opening of the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Middle School building. The ceremony began with a song in tribute to the Greenebaum family, written and performed by Jon Aaron '72 and Steve Martel. The program continued with words of gratitude from Head of School Dave Farace '87 and President of the Board of Trustees Rob Young '86. Michael Greenebaum then spoke, honoring his parents in his remarks.

The program continued with the ceremonial ribbon cutting, introduced by Interim Middle School Head Robyn Little, which triggered a shower of confetti. The celebration concluded with Mr. Greenebaum, who has believed in the project since the beginning, joining the Middle School Rock Shop band for a performance of the hit song by Journey, Don't Stop Believin'.
