Fifth Graders Devour Books
Frightfully good books were on the menu as the fifth grade celebrated the works of local author Mary Downing Hahn on Wednesday, November 17. Middle School librarians Stasha Gibbs and Sara Beach transformed their space into the “Eagles Nest Cafe” where they served up the best Hahn had to offer. Students perused a menu that included appetizers (shorter works), main courses (ghost stories), and desserts (sweeter selections). They were able to spend some time sampling each of their selections before ultimately settling on a book to take home and devour.
