Academy Program Inspires and Engages Middle Schoolers
During the last two weeks in May, fifth through eighth-grade students abandoned their traditional classes and schedules in favor of Middle School Academy. Introduced in 2019 but put on hold during the height of the pandemic, Academy offers middle schoolers the opportunity to take a deep dive into two of 24 unique courses in the humanities, science and mathematics, and the arts. Students learned and gained new skills through the exciting, inspiring, and engaging courses. The program wrapped up with a Showcase for parents on May 31 and June 1 featuring capstone presentations.
