Holiday Project is a Wrap

McDonogh’s 29th annual Holiday Project wrapped up on Wednesday, December 18 with the delivery of toys, books, clothes, and Giant Food gift cards for 142 families in need, including 434 children. Early in the day, students helped load three U-Haul trucks with boxes of the gifts destined for St. Gregory’s Church. Bridget Collins ’90 McDonogh’s Director of Character and Service, who coordinated the project with assistant Ruthie Griffith ‘09 said, “The Holiday Project requires a lot of hard work and time from the whole community. We each have the power to bring light to this world and it starts with simple acts of love. I am inspired that the light of love will be shining in the homes of 142 families this year, because of the compassion and generosity of the McDonogh community.”
