Water Walk Leads to Empathy

The sixth grade Water Walk on Thursday, October 5 simulated what many around the world must do every day to access water. The students walked from Finney Building to the pond where they filled gallon jugs. Then, they carried their containers to Roots Farm where they watered the fruit trees in the orchard, making sure nothing went to waste. The one-mile walk gave the students a deeper understanding of the global water crisis and the impact their fundraiser for water filtration kits will have on schools in Uganda. The sixth grade effort will result in 18 kits! The third grade supported the effort and joined them for the walk.
