An interview is required of all applicants to Upper School. If your child is spending the day with us, we will set up his or her interview during a non-academic class during the day. It is important to us that we get to know your child and give him/her the opportunity to ask questions of us regarding McDonogh School. Parent interviews are not required, but are welcomed. Once we receive your completed application, an admissions officer will contact you to arrange a date and time.
Day visits in Upper School are optional. They are non-evaluative and are simply an opportunity for the applicant to experience McDonogh on a first-hand basis. All visits to grades 9— 12 must be completed before January 15th. All students are hosted in their current grade except ninth grade applicants who will visit with ninth grade.
Please note that all interviews and day visits are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, and the later an application is received, the less flexible scheduling can be.
Applicants are required to have completed the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) by January 15th. The ISEE may be taken at any school listed in the Registration Bulletin; simply request on the registration form that the results be forwarded to McDonogh School. You may register on-line at www.iseetest.org.
