Commencement - McDonogh School

Commencement

The morning of Commencement begins with a Baccalaureate Service in the Ceres M. Horn Theatre. Shortly after, the seniors process out of Tagart Memorial Chapel and down the hill to Childs Memorial Terrace to the applause of faculty, staff, family, and friends. After an awards presentation, the speaker, selected by his or her classmates, addresses the audience. Finally, the graduates are presented with their McDonogh diploma and an official Alumni Association membership card. The ceremony concludes with current and alumni members of the Concert Choir singing The McDonogh Dedication Hymn.
