The Blankets of Hope project begins early in the school year when third graders create hand-tied blankets with brightly-colored fleece. During a chapel in late fall, the lower school gathers to reflect on hope and courage, and the third grade presents their blankets to members of the McDonogh Family who are fighting cancer as well as to the Red Devils, an organization that provides support to breast cancer patients.
