Peabody at McDonogh - Arts - McDonogh School

Peabody at McDonogh

Peabody Preparatory and McDonogh School partner to offer classes in Creative Dance, Introduction to Ballet, and Ballet Fundamentals for young dancers from age 3 through fourth grade. Children develop a greater awareness of themselves, their environment, and their community through the exploration of movement and guided class activities. Repetition of familiar concepts and movement material allow children to develop confidence, refine and deepen their learning, and prepare for more in-depth technical training. Variation and the introduction of new concepts fuels engagement and broadens learning. Each class session is constructed to offer a carefully considered mix of the familiar and the new. Classes are available exclusively to McDonogh students and are taught by Peabody’s faculty on McDonogh’s campus.
