Renowned Alumni Pianist to Perform in Chapel

McDonogh is pleased to welcome Momoro Ono '77 back to campus for a piano recital in Tagart Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 9 at 7:00 p.m. The recital is free and open to the public.

Since 2008, Dr. Ono has been a member of the music department at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, where he teaches applied and class piano as well as Music Appreciation. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Adele Marcus as a recipient of the William Petschek Piano Scholarship. At the Peabody Conservatory, Dr. Ono received the Artist Diploma and Doctorate as a full scholarship student of Leon Fleisher. He has appeared with the Baltimore and Pittsburgh Symphony orchestras and gave numerous recitals including one at the Kennedy Center. See a past performance here.
