Six Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
Congratulations to the six McDonogh student athletes who, on Thursday,
February 8, signed their official letters of intent to play Division I sports in
college. The seniors were joined by their parents, coaches, classmates,
teammates, and Co-Athletic Director Mickey Deegan who reminded them of the
dedication it takes to balance academics and athletics.
“Seniors, this is a significant moment ---signing this letter says that you are
committed to being the best student athlete you can be next year,” Deegan said.
“Playing on the collegiate level will require more dedication and
unselfishness on
your part as you balance the rigors of academic college life with the demands of
playing at such a high level of athletics.”
