Drowsy Chaperone Nominated for Awards


Congratulations to the cast and crew of McDonogh’s spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone on receiving seven nominations for the Baltimore Theatre Awards! The musical comedy, which delighted audiences, was performed over the weekend of April 7-9.

The Baltimore Theatre Award nominations are as follows:

  • Best Musical
  • Best Ensemble in a Musical
  • Best Performance by a Lead Actor (Cormac C. '18)
  • Best Performance by a Lead Actress (Riley C. '18)
  • Best Performance by a Featured Actor (Jack A. '18 and Daniel K. '20)
  • Best Make-Up Design

As a nominee for Best Musical, McDonogh has been invited to perform a number from The Drowsy Chaperone at the award ceremony on Sunday, April 30 at Hereford High School. The Baltimore Theatre Awards program, "which celebrates excellence in high school theatre," is available to all Baltimore City and County public and private schools.
