Sun Names McDonogh Top Workplace

For the fourth year in a row, McDonogh School has been named a Top Workplace by The Baltimore Sun, based on a survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics. In addition to being ranked #2 in the midsize category (150-399 employees), McDonogh received “Top Honors” for being an organization whose employees believe the school is going in the right direction. The survey results were announced at a reception at the Hippodrome Theatre on Wednesday, December 2 attended by Headmaster Charlie Britton, Head of Middle School Darren Ford, and Head of Lower School Barbara Robins.

In a 2015 Top Workplaces supplement in the Sunday, December 6 edition of the Baltimore Sun, the honor of “direction” was explained. “With an average tenure of over 15 years, the faculty’s bonds to the school run deep. With such continuity among the school’s leaders it is no surprise that more McDonogh employees say they believe their workplace in heading in the right direction than those at other mid-size employers in the region.”

The article continued, “That direction was charted more than 140 years ago, and based on the joyous responses from McDonogh employees, it is clear that some things never change.”
