The Giving Square Kids for Kids Celebration
On Tuesday, April 7, fourth graders came together to celebrate the culmination of their Kids for Kids philanthropic journey. In a joyful gathering of students, teachers, families, and nonprofit representatives, each of the fourth-grade homerooms shared the thoughtful process behind selecting the recipient of their $1,000 grant.
Students spoke confidently about the challenges facing children in our community and what drew them to their chosen organization. Representatives from all four nonprofits were on hand to receive their checks and speak to the real-world impact these funds will have. The nonprofits supported by fourth graders this year were Thread, Pathfinders for Autism, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore, and Casa of Baltimore.
The Giving Square Kids for Kids Celebration was a heartfelt reminder that even our youngest learners have the power to make a meaningful difference.
