On Friday, February 27, the Upper School was proud to host students from nearby schools for the Sankofa Conference—a day rooted in reflection, identity, and what it means to move forward with purpose.
Students held meaningful conversations about identity and community, and brought those reflections to life through poetry they wrote and performed for one another. The career panel featured Nyki Robinson (Black Girls Vote), Tori Soudan (footwear designer & tech founder), Kevin Jackson (Fortune 500 sales leader), McDonogh alum Mark Howie (IT professional), and McDonogh alum Alexis Seth (IT program management & organizational change management leader), each offering a distinct lens on Black excellence, resilience, and legacy.
