Head of School Day Honors McDonogh Dedication
The McDonogh community gathered at Childs Memorial Terrace on Head of School Day—Thursday, May 1—to recognize and celebrate the careers of five faculty and staff members who have served the School for 25 years, and seven who are retiring at the end of the school year.
During the ceremony, Head of School Dave Farace ‘87 and Associate Head of School Kate Mueller recognized: Sharon Hood, Merritt Livermmore ‘91, Tariq Qureshi, Esther Richardson, and Jennifer Richter for their 25 years of service to the school, and thanked retirees—Wright Abbot, Mickey Deegan, Beverly Markline, Jeanne Sataloff, Nina Sinnott, Lisa Veltri, and Susan Waskey—for their dedication to McDonogh.
The editors of the “Legacy” yearbook also took the opportunity to announce that the 2025 edition was dedicated to both Wright Abbot and Mickey Deegan, who impacted thousands of students during their combined 77 years at McDonogh.
