Leadership Academy Teaches How to Be Effective Team Captain
The second cohort of emerging leaders in the Athletic Leadership Academy met with Director Scott Ward on Tuesday, September 26 to discuss the responsibilities and challenges of being a team captain. The session included a game of MineField, a team-building exercise in which players verbally guided their blindfolded teammates through a set of cones—an exercise that proved to be great practice in effective communication. Throughout this year, the student-athletes in the Academy will work together to strengthen their leadership skills.
