Innovative Alumna Addresses Signature Society Members
More than 60 Members of the McDonogh Fund’s Signature Societies enjoyed a special luncheon celebrating their philanthropy at The Cove at Citron in Baltimore on Tuesday, March 29. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to hear from Dr. Akhila Kosaraju ’98, CEO and President of Phare Bio—a social venture that uses artificial intelligence and deep learning to tackle the world's urgent threats.
Before introducing Dr. Kosaraju, Head of School Dave Farace ’87 thanked attendees for their financial support which provides transformational experiences to today’s students. Dr. Kosaraju then described her journey from McDonogh to medical student to entrepreneur and her success in driving innovation in infectious disease and computational biology. She noted that her McDonogh education provided a well-rounded foundation that has played a role in her accomplishments.
