A Tale as Old as Time
Family and friends of the Grade 8 OnStage class were invited to be their guests for their performance of Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. on the evening of Thursday, January 13. Outfitted in beautiful costumes, the aspiring young actors gave wonderful performances that truly captured the spirit of the beloved ale as old as time.
OnStage brings together young singers and budding actors to learn, build confidence and perform in a supportive environment. Through vocal music and theater games, warm-ups and improvisation, rehearsals, team building, and multimedia projects, students connect with each other and their audience to create, grow, and perform. It is the perfect opportunity for eighth-graders to discover new talents and interests within the performing arts.
The production was a moment of pure joy for the students, who spent months memorizing lines, learning songs, and rehearsing to get everything just right. Now with the performance behind them, the OnStage class will shift focus to the upcoming Spring Concert scheduled for April 13.
