Middle Schoolers Shine in McDonogh Idol
The annual Middle School Idol finals on Thursday, November 14 thrilled the audience and challenged the judges who were tasked with choosing the winners of the competition, which began with more than 30 performers. A panel of three judges whittled the number of acts down to 12, each of whom performed before an audience of family and friends in the Horn Theatre for the title of "McDonogh Idol."
After each act performed, the judges gave them notes and words of encouragement. At the end of the night, the judges convened and named Riva W. as the Junior Winner and the duet of Carly G. and Megan W. as the Senior Winners. The audience also had a chance to vote for their pick and selected Sebastian P. as their favorite. A big congratulations goes to all of the contestants who bravely stood on the stage and performed for their peers.
