Class of 2024 Fights Food Insecurity

While they were in the seventh grade, the Class of 2024 became inspired by the lessons taught during Global Citizens Week and wanted to make a positive impact both locally and globally. They’ve worked over the last year to raise $5,800, and now with the help of No Child Hungry, they are turning those funds into 13,000 meal packs that are being sent to eight orphanages and children’s homes in Haiti, 3,000 meal kits that are being sent to the Community Crisis Center in Reisterstown, and 200 hygiene kits that are being donated to Northwest Hospital. This service project was met with multiple moments of adversity, including a worldwide pandemic, but their perseverance proves that the Class of 2024 is committed to doing “the greatest possible amount of good.”
