Hearty Group Puts Roots to Bed

A hearty group of student, parent, alumni, faculty, and staff volunteers reported to Roots early on the morning of Saturday, November 17 to put the farm to bed for the winter. Gathering the garden signs and tomato cages, pulling dead plants and trimming ornamental grasses, and removing the plastic and irrigation tubes that line the rows of crops were among the many chores completed throughout the morning. When the work was done, the group sat down for a potluck meal in the warmth of the barn.
