Happy Chinese New Year
Lower School students celebrated the Chinese New Year on Monday, February 8 in a variety of ways. In the morning, kindergartners heard a story about the zodiac, read by a parent. Later, third graders learned how to write “Happy New Year” in Chinese calligraphy, and fourth graders made and enjoyed savory dumplings, a food traditionally shared on festive occasions. Today’s celebration marks the beginning of the Year of the Monkey.
