Eagle Cup ‘Tournament within a Tournament’

New this year, in addition to our signature golf tournament, we are introducing the Eagle Cup for more competitive golfers. This ‘tournament within a tournament’ will be limited to 12 teams (24 players) competing in a two-person, better ball event utilizing verifiable USGA handicaps. 

Format:

  • 2 Person Better Ball net vs. the Eagle Cup field 
  • Field will be limited to 12 x 2- person teams
  • Teams will play in foursomes from the white tee markers
  • Scoring: Each team member will play their own golf balls throughout and the lower nets score between them on each hole counts as the team score
  • Winners are the team with the lowest overall net score 
  • Tie breakers will be by match of score cards by handicap holes

Handicaps: 

  • All players must have an Official USGA Handicap Index established by Sept 1st, 2019.  
  • 90% of the all players course handicap will be used and with a maximum adjusted handicap of 30.
  • The maximum difference between the team members’ adjusted handicap is 18.
  • Use of the Golfer Helpers Package is not allowed.

Eagle Cup Sponsor: $1500.00

  • Registration for one Eagle Cup team (2 players), Eagle Cup golf shirts, greens fees, lunch, refreshments on the course, 19th Hole Happy Hour, awards ceremony, and a commemorative gift.
  • Recognition as an Eagle Cup Sponsor at the happy hour, online, in McDonogh Magazine and on a banner displayed at the event.
