Everyone is good at something, but many do not succeed because their ideas stay within their mind. During this course we will dive deep into our innate abilities to discover our dreams. We will then learn how to turn large dreams into smaller, practical goals. By the end, we will formulate a step-by-step plan to bring those dreams to fruition. Let's empower one another to tune into our potential and maximize our time here on earth.

By the end of this course, students will have a handmade dream catcher to symbolize their ability to grasp hold of their dreams. They will also create a vision board and a concrete plan towards one of their dreams.

In the spirit of this moment, building off our shared humanity, and tied to the core values of McDonogh, we are proud to offer a unique experience for campers and their grandparents/caregivers to connect through philanthropy this summer. Over four sessions, kids and grandparents will explore their shared philanthropic values, needs in our community, and the unique ways generations can work together to make a difference.

We are excited to offer this innovative new program in partnership with The Giving Square, a local organization working to activate a philanthropic disposition in all children. The program will be offered virtually and in a playful yet meaningful format. Target age group for kids is 8-12 years old.

Are you concerned about kids in our community who may not have enough food, enough love and support, or are facing a big challenge? Here is your chance to learn more about how to help others in a program called the Kids for Kids Fund. During this program, you will: explore the needs and experiences of other kids, learn about some great, local organizations, develop a better understanding of all the ways that YOU can do good in our community, and have a lot of fun!

By the end of the program, the group will decide which local, kid-serving organization should receive $1,000. This program is not about fundraising. This is about using your brain, your heart, your ears, and your voice to help others.

Students will actively generate short, informal videos, interviews, and written reflections about their ideas and experiences.
