Cardboard Boats Feats of Engineering and Art

The 27th Annual Cardboard Boat Race on Friday, May 27, featured 10 boats constructed by groups of freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, as well as members of the softball team. From stem to stern, the boats were not only feats of engineering they were works of art. As usual, some of the boats were more seaworthy than others and by the end nothing could hold the industrial grade cardboard crafts together. (A special thanks to Arnold's Factory for their generous contribution of life jackets to the race this year!) The coveted cardboard B.O.B. (Best Overall Boat) trophy was awarded to the Political Boat. Congratulations to all the teams.
