McDonogh Singers On Broadway

On May 9, the McDonogh Singers traveled to Broadway in New York City to learn their craft from the “pros.” The budding Middle School actors and actresses spent the morning at the Ripley Grier Studios where Broadway teaching artists held a workshop for the McDonogh students. With the musical Aladdin as the foundation, they participated in character development activities, learned the choreography and music to “Arabian Nights,” and created their own scenes related to the musical. After lunch in Times Square, the McDonogh Singers headed to the New Amsterdam Theatre to see a performance of Disney's Aladdin on Broadway.
