Ages: Grade 6-8
Hours: 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Dates: July 13- July 31, Tuesdays and Thursdays (additional weeks may be added if there is interest)

Don't lose your Spanish over the summer gives students an opportunity to stay connected with the language they study during the school year. If you enjoy learning Spanish and want to do more this is the course for you! If you want to reinforce your Spanish and get ahead of the game this is the course for you, too! Anyone welcome! The course is designed for Middle School students.

Students will have short projects to complete throughout the duration of the course. In addition, students will also be engaged in listening, writing, and speaking activities.

¡Hablemos! Intermediate Conversation in Spanish (Grade 10-12)

Ages: Grade 10-12
Hours: 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Dates: July 27-31 (additional weeks my be added if there is interest)
Tuition: $100

This course is designed for more advanced students who want to practice their conversation skills. It is intended for kids who have already completed Spanish III. The course will be oriented towards conversation, and it will cover topics related to current events, and short stories in video or print format. Students will have the opportunity to interact with teenagers from Argentina via Zoom.

By the end of this course, students will have had a couple of spontaneous conversations with peers in South America.

Let's Catch Up in Spanish (Grade 10-12) - CLOSED

REGISTRATION CLOSED 

Ages: Students who have completed Spanish III Honors (rising sophomores); Spanish IV Spanish and Latin American Identity, or Spanish IV Honors (rising Juniors or Seniors)
Hours: 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Dates: Two-week sessions: Session 1: June 15-26; Session 2: August 3-14
Tuition: $300 per session

This class will prepare students to take on the Upper Level Conversation classes, including AP Spanish. It will help you brush up or learn the complex grammar required to navigate more complex reading material.

Participants will produce presentational material and participate in interpersonal communication.

¡VEO VEO! ¿Qué ves? (Grade 1-3)

Ages: 6-8
Hours: 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, Friday

How do we teach our young children to enjoy Spanish from the very beginning? ¡VEO VEO! ¿Qué ves? which is the translation of I see I see, What do you see? gives students the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy Spanish. ¡VEO VEO! ¿Qué ves? offers a combination of themes such as numbers, animals, colors, food items, clothing, seasons, days of the week, and traditions. We will learn through activities that include games, videos, songs, readings, competitions, and much more. Don´t think twice and sign up for the fun! Are you ready to learn Spanish? 

This course is tailored for lower school students. No Spanish experience required.

Every day we will concentrate on a particular topic. Every lesson will have a little introduction followed by an interactive activity, and a time to show what they have learn. At the end of the course, students will put together a booklet with their favorite lesson and will give a short presentation on their final product.

This course is intended for students who are in the beginning stages of their language learning, but have already completed Spanish I. It is oriented towards conversation, and will cover everyday topics of interest to students, such as summer activities, music, sports, and social media. Students will have the opportunity to talk to teenagers in Argentina via Zoom.

By the end of the course, students will have a recording of their interactions with teenagers in South America.

This course is offered for students who are new to the language or students who would like a little review before entering the beginning levels of Upper School Spanish. Students will have opportunities to gain the confidence and preparation they need to feel more comfortable during new school year 2020-2021. In addition, the course will offer students the material, the review, the practice, and the skills needed for introductory High School Spanish.
