7th and 8th Grade Orators Speak with Confidence

The seventh and eighth grade oratory finalists took to the stage in the Horn Theatre on Friday, May 18 for the culmination of the annual Oratory Program. After much preparation, five seventh grade orators spoke about a significant moment in their lives. Their riveting talks had intriguing titles such as The Six Inches Between Wild and Aggressive, False Alarm, and Can I Go Again?

The five eighth grade speakers, who were given freedom in style and genre, addressed topics about which they felt strongly, resulting in a blend of personal narrative, persuasive, and humorous insight speeches. Among the titles of their talks were: A Fearless Man and Teachers Should be Armed with Chalk.

Congratulations to all the finalists and to the emcees on flawless performances.
