A Taste of Life on the Farm
The first grade got a taste of life on the farm and washed it down with a little apple cider on Wednesday, October 10. With the help of Farmer Hood, Beekeeper Gonzalez, and a few volunteers from the upper school, the first graders planted garlic, freshened up the chicken coop, harvested pumpkins for the Maryland Food Bank, and pressed apples into cider.
