Day of Water Enlightens
The second annual Day of Water on Friday, September 15 was the kick off of the sixth grade’s service learning initiative. After learning about the global water crisis, students were introduced to the Ugandan Water Project and an effort to raise funds to purchase Sawyer water filters and rainwater collection tanks for schools in the African nation. On Thursday, October 5 the students will participate in a Water Walk through campus, carrying gallon jugs filled with water, to simulate what Ugandan children do on a daily basis.
