The fleet of boats entered in the 28th Annual Cardboard Boat Race on Friday, May 26, was so ship shape that none of the 14 cardboard entries sank in the first heats. With throngs of cheering students lining the shoreline of McDonogh’s pond, the carefully crafted cardboard vessels raced to the finish line. Everyone seemed to have their favorite boat and many of the “seaworthy ships” included special effects, which thrilled the audience. At the end of the afternoon, the Bunk Bed Boat floated away with the B.O.B. (Best Overall Boat) Award. Congratulations to all the contenders!
